Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Provides exceptional hospitality service to patients and guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting patients and guests with directions, getting in and out of vehicles and offering wheelchairs when necessary.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED equivalent. Ability to drive manual transmission. Clean driving record for five years. Mathematical skills preferred. Level I Qualified Spanish Bilingual Staff (QBS) preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Valid North Carolina driver's license with no restrictions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Adheres to the Medical Center standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. 2. Responsible for greeting guests with a helpful and caring attitude. 3. Responsible for maintaining a clear and safe area for pedestrian and vehicular traffic. 4. Completes all forms and documents correctly. 5. Collects payments and secures cash and keys if required. 6. Completes in a timely manner all Medical Center and Department training requirements. 7. Drives golf cart as requested. 8. Performs other duties as requested by management.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must communicate professionally, be a good listener and be willing to assist anyone Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills Sound basic math skills for processing payments and deposits Able to stand or walk for prolonged periods
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to the risk of blood borne diseases Exposure to vehicle fumes Subject to varying and unpredictable situations Frequent exposure to extreme heat, cold, rain and smog
