Valet Operation Manager-Ascension St. John Hospital/Detroit

We provide non-emergency medical transportation, shuttle services, valet parking, service excellence consulting and coaching, parking/garage management and welcome desk/concierge services.

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager at our Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, energetic, and compassionate. They should be an outstanding communicator, have strong leadership skills and thrive in a team environment. Valet parking experience is preferred but not required. This job does require you to work 5 days a week, Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-4:30PM.

Position requirements 

• HS diploma or relevant work experience in parking or hospitality management.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft office products – word, excel, PowerPoint.
  
• Ability to manage and lead a team of valets, shuttle drivers and cashiers 
  
• MVR, Criminal Background and Drug Screen will be required.
  
• Must be able to work outside in inclement weather.
  
• All employees must maintain a well kempt and professional appearance

This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Valet Parking Program.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Work closely with client/facility management
• Communicate effectively with both the client and the corporate office in a timely manner
• Maintain proper staffing levels at all times
• Ensure customers are receiving timely service
• Responsible for resolving those guest concerns that are brought to his/her attention by the valet team.
• Responsible for documenting incident forms and conducting incident investigations as directed by the corporate office.
• Directly oversee all day-to-day activities associated with opening, scheduling, managing and closing
  
• Ensures the facility and employees are operating in accordance with company policy
