12 MONTHS CONTRACT
100% REMOTE ROLE

Position Description:
Remote Role
Our Senior UX Interaction Designers are experts in creating beautiful, usable solutions based on unbiased user research. They are at the forefront of setting strategic design direction for our financial suite of products and championing the voice of the user throughout our organization.
Skills Required:
  • Designs lean, iterative, and development-ready solutions that can scale for the future, but understand the technology constraints of the now.
  • Thinks deeply about the user experience balanced with business goals to inform their designs.
  • Leads the product team (Product Owner, Project Manager, Software Engineers) through the user-centered design process with collaborative workshops for discovery and ideation.
  • Applies user research insights to drive Product Design and strategy, and help your team understand why and how to build better experiences.
  • Plans and executes user research in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and shares findings broadly across the organization.

Skills Preferred:
  • Craft beautiful and usable designs for digital products by applying your domain expertise, deep research findings, and collaborating with peers across the product organization.
  • Conduct user research and experiments from planning to synthesis.
  • Play an active role in advocating for a Human-Centered Design process and creating a collaborative environment.
  • Engage and inspire the product organization about our customers' experiences through powerful story-telling of the human-centered design process, research insights, and customer journeys.
  • Lead as a 'player/coach' owning UX design and mentoring less experienced designers.

Experience Required:
  • 4+ years of experience as a UX/Interaction/Product Designer working across a breadth of digital media.
  • 2+ years of experience leading the human-centered design process with highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

Experience Preferred:
  • 6+ years of experience as a UX or Interaction Designer
  • Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Education Preferred:
  • Master's in user experience, human-computer interaction, interaction design, service design, graphic design, or digital design related-degree.

Additional Information :
Demonstrable experience in UX design and research in all phases across a variety of projects and mediums.
Deep expertise in Interaction & Visual Design, Information Architecture, UX Writing, and UX Research. Advanced knowledge of Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other design and prototyping software.
Visualize and test concepts at varying levels of fidelity napkin sketches, sacrificial concepts, wireframes, interactive & functional prototypes, development-ready assets.
Experience synthesizing research findings into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and design solutions.
ROLE 2 :-
UX RESEARCHER
12 MONTHS CONTRACT
REDMOND, WA
ONSITE FROM DAY 1
VISA- USC/GC/H4-EAD ONLY

RATE- $70-75/HR C2C

Candidate Requirements
  • Years of Experience Required 5 plus years
  • Degrees or certifications required - A Masters in a wide range of industries like experimental psychology. Cognitive psychology or engineering psychology.

Summary:
  • Microsoft Teams Research group is currently seeking an experienced, motivated, creative, and customer-focused Design Researcher Vendor.
  • Our UX Researchers are part of the Teams Calling, Meeting, and Devices multi-discipline Design Team and we partner closely with Program Management and Engineers to bring the Teams experiences to life. We design for a variety of platforms and form factors including desktops, tablets and mobile phones.

  • In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary research, design, and engineering team to define, and ultimately deliver the next generation of experiences for Teams.
  • As a Researcher on our team, you will have the opportunity to employ a wide range of research methodologies including field research, traditional usability tests, prototype testing, survey, and telemetry research.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience developing and executing proven research methods throughout all phases of software development to make recommendations and solve design problems.
  • Great oral and written communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with Designers, Engineers, Program Managers, and other Researchers to garner support for research plans and ensure action is taken on results in a highly collaborative work environment.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of MA/MS in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field, OR significant industry experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience conducting user research and driving tangible outcomes with product teams and a proven track record of success
  • Proven experience designing and conducting a range of formative and iterative research methods applicable to all product stages from conception to release (Enterprise experience a plus)
  • Thorough knowledge and experience across a range of UX research approaches and methodologies
  • Develop and maintain research plans and drive data into decisions across the product lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the implications of research finding in clear and compelling ways; translate research findings into actionable recommendations; ability to translate data into Insights
  • Strong written and verbal abilities
  • Experience managing design research knowledge that is leveraged across design and engineering teams
  • Track record of collaborating across disciplines (design, engineering) to drive change into products; must be able to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team
  • Proven ability to work within tight timelines and with excellent project management skills
  • Previous experience as user researcher conducting studies with a technical user base or in the B2B space is a plus
