Project Overview:
Our team works on innovative new tech combining advances in hardware and software with the aim of making communication feel present, immersive, and real, no matter where in the world you are.
This perception of co-presence is created by representing users in 3D at natural scale, enabling eye contact, and providing spatially accurate audio.
As a UX Research Associate, you'll support the evaluation and research for Project Starline by collecting and analyzing user feedback and survey data.
Overall Responsibilities:
We are looking for a UX Research Associate to conduct evaluative and mixed methods research in support of Project team.
The UXR Research Associate will work closely with other UX Researchers, vision science researchers, product managers, engineers, and designers to conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., usability testing, perceptual studies, surveys, interviews).
The UX Research Associate will conduct research projects and support designing, setting up, analyzing, and presenting results from research studies.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Manage and support the setup and execution of research studies.
Understand study needs, create research plans, organize study materials, define respondent / participant criteria, and organize materials needed for research activities.
Analyze and report on data from research activities.
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
M.A./M.S. (completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, or other fields emphasizing human behavior.
5-7 years of work experience in relevant graduate-school research experience
Experience with SPSS, R, or other data cleaning and analysis tools
Basic familiarity with each of the following methods, and in-depth expertise in one or more of the following:
Usability studies
Behavioral science experiments
Concept tests
Perceptual studies
User interviews
Field research
Surveys
Solid understanding of and comfort with qualitative methods and foundational research.
Strong understanding of experimental design
Familiarity in basic quantitative analysis.
Detail-oriented, excellent organization skills and ability to work to work independently on a variety of tasks.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Ph. D. in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Vision Science, Cognition and Perception, or related field
Experience and understanding of display technologies.
Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following:
Psychophysical studies
Perceptual thresholds
Familiarity with aspects of vestibular conflicts
Visual artifacts and advanced optics
At least one year experience conducting research on enterprise-facing products or experiences.

Looking for UXR who will be executive number of studies for vision comfort.
Mixed Methods research role(70% Qualitative side)
2+ years required, open to senior candidates as well.
Master's or Ph.D highly preferred in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, or other fields emphasizing human behavior
Familiarity with SPSS or R or similar tool
Experimental research, Usability studies experience
Strong Communication skills , with participants
Nice to have:
Type of background in vision science or perpetual research
Vision Comfort Research, perceptual studies
