Position Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Basic computer knowledge and emails/charting
Essential Functions:
- Act as a liaison between managed care organizations and the facility professional clinical staff.
- Monitor patient length of stay and extensions.
- Inform clinical and medical staff on issues that may impact length of stay.
- Conduct quality reviews for medical necessity and services provided.
- Initiate and complete formal appeal process for denied admissions or continued stay.
- Assist the admissions department pre-certifications of care.
