Utilization Review Nurse/Lvn

Responsibilities:
- Conduct Utilization Reviews for patients to determine the medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services
- Review patient medical records and treatment plans to ensure compliance with established guidelines and protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for review and make recommendations for care
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services provided to patients
- Document findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
- Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients regarding Utilization Review decisions

Qualifications:
- Current LVN/LPN license
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in acute care or medical management
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with managed care principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other healthcare software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Skills:
- Home care experience is a plus
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with ICU procedures and protocols
