```Duties``` - Conduct Utilization Reviews of medical records to determine the medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services - Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for review - Evaluate medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards - Analyze patient data, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes - Utilize knowledge of medical coding and billing practices to ensure accurate reimbursement - Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services provided - Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and resource utilization - Communicate findings and recommendations to healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders ```Experience``` - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting - Strong background in patient care and documentation review - Familiarity with primary care, Medicare, and pediatric healthcare services - Knowledge of ICD-9 coding system and utilization management principles - Experience working with nursing home or long-term care facilities is a plus As a Utilization Review Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and appropriateness of healthcare services provided to patients.
