TITLE: General Utility Tech
REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager
Non-Exempt
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. As a Utility Technician, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and
perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper - Prepare dishwater for operation, empties and cleans it when finished.
- Operate dishwasher to ensure thorough cleaning of dishware and utensils.
- Keep all equipment, working areas, walls, floors and fans clean and orderly.
- Report any needed supplies, faulty working equipment, accidents, problems, etc.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Dietary Manager or Assistant Dietary Manager.
- Ensure that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.
- Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.

- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions

- Must have High School Diploma or its equivalent.
