Entry level trainee work involving basic cleaning and maintenance of lift stations, water and wastewater distribution systems; and/or water treatment plant. Work is performed under close supervision. **Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm**
Essential Job Duties
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance on water and wastewater distribution systems, lift stations and/or Water Treatment Plant.
- Install and repair water distribution, sanitary sewer lines, lift stations, manholes, and all related facilities.
- Dig and refill ditches, load dirt and construction materials.
- Perform lawn maintenance activities.
- Operate light power equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma;
- Two (2) years of experience in heavy manual labor and the use of hand and light power tools.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, with a good driving record.
