SalaryOur company is looking for an experienced Utility Line Locator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a background locating underground utility lines in populated areas. We need a motivated individual who is able to work independently and has the ability to work on their feet for long periods of time and in challenging weather conditions. This position requires close communication with contractors and home owners thus requiring the chosen candidate to possess excellent communication, customer service and conflict resolution skills. This role may sometimes require working overtime and weekends. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read blueprints and have a valid driver's license. Candidates must also have the ability to pass a DOT background check as well as a drug screening.
We are willing to train a highly motivated and capable candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Assess safety risks associated with underground lines.
- Identify and mark underground utilities prior to digging.
- Have the ability read and interprete GIS maps .
- Maintain a clean and stocked vehicle
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
