Below is a general description of the position.
RURAL CARR ASSOC/SRV REG RTE – RCA $19.50/Hr. Medical benefits available. RCA stands for Rural Carrier Associate. RCAs assist our Rural Carriers. Rural carriers deliver on the outskirts of town to mailboxes on posts and cluster boxes. RCAs cover our Rural Carriers on their days off, their vacations or when they call out sick. Some offices supply RCAs with postal vehicles to deliver mail, others require RCAs to use their personal vehicles to deliver. (Ask the Postmaster if they supply a vehicle) If you are required to use your personal vehicle you will be compensated by being paid mileage. You will work on weekends and holidays. As an RCA you will have the option to work in other offices if you need more hours. You may be required to work in other offices. RCAs must be available as needed.
