USPS Contractor looking for Class A driver to haul mail

Job:

-Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (4 Trips)

-One run to Knoxville post office from Nashville each night

-Route Hours 8PM start time in Nashville and finish back in Nashville at 5:45 AM

-$35.10 per hour

-Tractor and trailer. 53 ft trailer, day cab, tandem, automatic.

Duties:

- Safely operate a tractor-trailer
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for safe and efficient transportation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
- Valid commercial A driver's license (CDL)

Skills:

- Ability to safely load, secure, and unload various types of freight
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with regulations
