User Experience Lead

This is part of a fully integrated advanced development team that looks to uncover and develop upon game-changing products and experiences to ensure that we can stay competitive in this rapidly evolving market, and create new value for customers and TMC. The team is comprised of technologists and engineers, product leaders, business analysts, designers and researchers to allow us to conceptualize, explore, and rapidly build and develop products of all kinds while communicating customer value.

Our team's mission is to create the world's smartest, safest, human-centered User Experiences for personal mobility. In real world mobility contexts, experiences happen across the digital and physical divide. Your role as a Product Designer will be to envision how people experience our products in a multisensory way and bring that vision to life. You love creative problem solving, designing solutions that are intuitive and delightful for customers to use, have high standards and have a strong hunger for innovation. We're looking for a designer who is skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the needs of the customer.

Our designers work collaboratively with researchers and other cross-functional teams. The solutions we produce are human-centered and data-driven in order to be safe, trustworthy and delightful to experience. We have the opportunity to envision and design the future of mobility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Envision and design mobility solutions and experiences
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mock-ups, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes through to design hand-off.
• Collaborate as part of a high-performing team in an agile, iterative process.
• Independent, autonomous, creative thinker that breaks with the conventional.
• Own the product lifecycle from initial opportunity through customer delivery.
• You have the ability to clearly articulate and explain your thoughts on usability, engagement, business/user needs, and effectiveness/value add.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, or evidence of exceptional ability
• A strong design portfolio exemplifying who you are as a designer.
• 8+ years' work experience creating world-class experiences for web, and mobile; successfully launching products to market
• Ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches, wireframes, prototypes, 2D and 3D animations.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-performance environment under minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently but also collaborative and driven by constructive group feedback.
• Knowledge of product design practices, agile methodologies, 2D and 3D software.
• Experience working cross-culturally.
• Experience delivering real-world products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Speaks Japanese.
• 3D and prototyping: Unreal or Unity, protopie.

$140,000- $230,000 a year

Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. At Woven by Toyota, we offer a base salary, a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The California pay scale for this full time position is $140,000- $230,000. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
