User Experience Designer

Woof Woof ! That’s hello from VetConnect Plus! Are you a curious, and driven User Experience Designer looking for your next challenge? Well we’ve got a role that we think will get your tail wagging!
VetConnect Plus is looking for another User Experiernece Designer to join our team in Westbrook, Maine, but we are also open to remote.
This role will be working on a team with two other User Experience Designers, spread across the entire VetConnect Plus portfolio. This includes the VetConnect Plus website, mobile application, PMS module and Des cision IQ .
But, most excitingly, this role will have a focus on a new project in the VetConnect Plus family. If you’re looking for a challenge with a lot of variety, this role is one to get you howling with excitement!

A bit more about the role, you will:
Designs user interfaces for Company software, hardware and web products to meet customer needs and deliver optimum User Experience.
Leads interface idea generation, design and prototyping and works with project staff throughout development and testing phases to complete projects. Coordinates with product management, development, quality assurance, visual design and usability engineers to understand product requirements and identify solutions to user interface challenges.
Develops creative responses to UX issues that arise during development and testing.
Builds prototypes and simulations of user interfaces.
Produces wireframes, flow diagrams, specifications and other design related documentation.
Participates in user research and observes usability tests which are organized and facilitated by usability engineers.
Extends and maintains pattern libraries, and other standards resources, to document common approach to Company user interface design. Builds interface design discipline as a component of the product development process.
Advocates for user-centered design process and contributes to overall User Experience of Company products.
So what are we looking for?
Software interaction design experience.
Assigned projects of low to moderate complexity involving routine work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
Knowledge of user-centered design philosophy and process.
Knowledge of software and product development methodologies.
Working knowledge of Figma prototyping software and similar visioning tools, experience with Design Systems a plus.
Basic meeting facilitation and specification writing skills.
Hands-on experience with multiple interaction design projects as team member.
Typically 3+ years’ experience.
