We are seeking a User Engagement Specialist who displays strong characteristics of AIP Publishing's cultural principles: Progressive; Researcher-Focused; Experimental; Equitable; Authentic; Action-Oriented; and Collaborative toplay a pivotal role in being at the forefront of enhancing the end user experience for our remote workforce.

The User Engagement Specialist, reporting to theManager of M365 Administration and End User Support, willplaya pivotal role in understanding and addressing user needs, facilitating effective use of remote work tools, and ensuring that vendor-provided services align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for users regarding general user support and remote work-related inquiries and needs.
  • Facilitate comprehensive adoption of remote work tools and services through varied communication methods such as presentations, digital content, and interactive sessions, to enhance User Engagement and understanding.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback to recommend improvements, advocate for user needs and preferences.
  • Responsible for onboarding new employees, and offboarding exiting employees - including configuring and managing equipment, configuring user accounts and permissions, and training new hires on the company tools and systems, as well as asset tracking and end user system management.
  • Liaise between users and services, ensuring user feedback is addressed in both in-house and vendor services. Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment of tools with user needs and business goals.
  • Monitor related vendor performance, focusing on ensuring that SLA's and service expectations are being met.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and strategy sessions and assist in other technology-related projects and initiatives as needed, both virtually and in-person. Occasional on-site work will be required to troubleshoot on-prem systems, deploy/receive/process end user equipment, as well as to attend in-person meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating an ability to effectively engage and support users.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of commonly used Microsoft M365 end user tools and services - including but not limited to Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as experience with Teams Calling and Defender for Endpoint.
  • Ability to analyze user feedback and translate it into actionable technology insights.
  • Experience supporting a remote work environment, including virtual and hybrid meetings and other events. Experience with remote meeting tools such as Zoom and Teams, virtual whiteboard tools such as Miro.
  • Experience in monitoring vendor performance and building effective vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD a plus, knowledge of PowerShell a plus.

Additional details:

$55,500 - $65,500

Salary within the above posted range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.

To be considered candidates must reside on Long Island, NY and will be required to travel to Melville, NY as needed.

This is a remote first plus convening opportunity.
