Used Car Body Man

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Used Car Prep Tech/Metal Tech to join our team at the Toyota Carlsbad Used Car dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible assists in repairing and restoring damaged cars, trucks, and other vehicles. They work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and learn the trade.
Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $20 to $27 Flat rate per hour paid biweekly. This position also offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K retirement plan, and paid vacation and sick days.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist experienced technicians in repairing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications.
2. Help perform diagnostic tests to ensure all issues have been addressed.
3. Remove and replace damaged components as directed.
4. Learn to inspect vehicles for damage and understand how to repair the body to factory or customer specifications.
5. Assist in grinding, filing, and sanding repaired surfaces.
6. Help to remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body.

Qualifications:

1. Some experience or interest in auto body repair.
2. Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
3. Good physical condition.
4. Dependable and hard-working with a keen interest in learning.
