About the Role
The Tax Intern will support and assist the US Tax department, which is responsible for Magna's US income tax filings, assessing and mitigating tax risk, and completing Magna US's quarterly income tax provisions.
Your Responsibilities
Working within the US tax department to assist in compiling reports, retrieving financial statement data from enterprise reporting system, preparing tax filings, and other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Occasional interaction with divisional accounting personnel and other functional areas within Magna's tax, finance, legal, and treasury organizations.
Who we are looking for
• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University
• Accounting Major Preferred
• Some related experience preferred.
Your preferred qualifications
• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Aptitude to learn and obtain proficiency in Tax and Accounting automation technology.
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction.
• Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenges.
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
