My name is Bhuvi, and I am a Senior Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a staffing firm and are currently seeking an Software Design Engineer I for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Spring, TX.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Title: Software Design Engineer I
Location: Spring, TX
Duration: 5 Months
Hourly Rate on W2: $25/hr - $30/hr
· Pay Rate: $25/hr - $30/hr on W2 only.
· 5 months assignment likely to be converted based on the performance and budget.
· Responsible for design, development, maintenance, testing, and quality and performance assurance of system software products.
· Work within this job classification falls into three major categories:
· Maintenance and enhancement. Makes changes to system software to correct errors in the original implementation and creates extensions to existing programs to add new features or performance improvements.
· Major enhancement and new product design. Designs and develops major functional or performance enhancements for existing products, or produces new software products or tools. (3) Quality and performance assurance. Reviews requirements, specifications and designs to assure product quality; develops and implements plans and tests for product quality or performance assurance.
· Applies basic foundation of a function’s principles, theories, and concepts to assignments of limited scope.
· Utilizes professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience.
· Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.
· Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within the business environment.
· Acts as team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience or equivalent.
· May include highly experienced individuals performing entry-level equivalent work who have degrees in an unrelated field, Programming software for operating systems, utilizing machine assembly and/or job control and software capabilities
