Counslr is a B2B digital Mental Health platform providing 24/7 text-based Mental Health support to students and employees at universities, corporations, and healthcare institutions. Users are able to engage in live chat sessions with licensed counselors, on-demand or by scheduled appointment, within the Counslr mobile app. Counslr’s goal is to empower people to prioritize their Mental Health by making support more accessible.
Position Profile
Our community of licensed Mental Health Professionals aim to make quality Mental Health support readily available, easily accessible, and socially acceptable 24/7/365.
The role of the Counselor is to provide the most professional, ethical and compassionate help to clients on the Counslr platform. Counselors provide text-based "support" rather than text-based counseling utilizing our HIPAA compliant platform. They offer empathic “listening,” assisting in clarifying and reframing complex situations when appropriate and providing suggestions for coping based on training and experience in the Mental Health field.
Counselors engage in collaborative discussions about a range of coping skills and common practices and offer helpful resources. Counselors offer suggestions, not directions. Counselors guide their clients, helping them to seek solutions to a wide range of problems rather than direct them to take a specific approach or path.
The work is completely remote. Counselors have the ability to work from any US location such as their home, office, or another private and secure area with a strong internet connection.
Counselors set their own work hours! Shifts are 3 hours in duration. Counselors can work as little as 3 hours per week or a max of 24 hours per week.
Counselors have the convenience of utilizing their own home computer/laptop to actively engage in live text support with Clients through our secure web portal. Clients will access services through the Counslr mobile app. These 30-45 sessions (scheduled or on-demand) should function very much like face-to-face sessions, but they will take place entirely within a text-based chat.
Our compensation scale is market competitive!
· Hourly rates ($15/hour 6am-12am) and ($22.50/hour 12midnight to 6am) for idle sessions.
· Hourly rates ($30/hour 6am to 12midnight) and ($45/hour 12midnight to 6am) for active support sessions.
· $150 flat rate for completing orientation.
Prior to going active, all Counselors participate in an online orientation program to develop a thorough understanding of our mission, approach, standards, and services, as well as learn how to use the Counslr software.
