bringing to the market cutting-edge AI software products to revolutionize interventional cardiac
electrophysiology.


Volta has created a data collection and enrichment ecosystem for curated EP lab data which is fed
into a physician validated, machine learning methodology to support complex AF solutions. Our
newest technology, Volta AF-Xplorer, is a data-driven AI decision support system that easily
integrates into the standard physician workflow, providing a patient-tailored approach to complex AF
and AT procedures.


Our dynamic, innovative team is made up of 100+ collaborators in the EU and USA from a wide variety
of backgrounds including engineers, business professionals and physicians, working together to
develop AI solutions that help electrophysiologists help patients.


As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced US People Operations Manager
to join our team and work closely with our Global VP People and the US People & Operations
Specialist to help us in our mission.


Key Responsibilities


The US People Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources
operations within the US entity. This includes but is not limited to recruitment, employee relations,
performance management, training and development, compliance, and benefits administration. The
US People Operations Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing HR strategies
and policies that align with the global HR strategy, company's goals and values, while also ensuring
legal compliance and promoting a positive employee experience.


Responsibilities include:


  • US HR Strategy:
    • Work closely with the Global VP People and with the Senior US Operations Manager
      to align US HR strategies and initiatives with the company's global objectives.
    • Participate in regular meetings and discussions with the Global VP People to provide
      updates on HR activities, discuss challenges, and seek guidance on key decisions.
    • Develop and implement all US HR policies, procedures, and programs in collaboration
      with the US People & Operations Specialist
    • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Act as a liaison between the US HR team and the Global VP People, ensuring effective
      communication and coordination of HR efforts across different regions.
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Provide input to the CFO and the Global VP People on staffing needs and make
      recommendations on hiring decisions.
    • Collaborate with the US People & Operations Specialist to develop recruitment
      strategies and initiatives to attract top talent.
    • Support the integration of new hires through effective onboarding processes and
      orientation programs.
  • Employee Relations/Engagement:
    • Address employee relations issues and concerns
    • Provide guidance and support to the US People team and managers in resolving
      complex employee relations matters.
    • Assist in the development of employee engagement initiatives and programs to
      promote a positive work culture.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement
      initiatives and diversity programs.
    • Collaborate with the Global VP People to ensure consistent application of HR policies
      and practices
  • Performance Management:
    • Support the implementation of US performance management systems and processes
      in collaboration with the Global VP People and the US People & Operations Specialist.
    • Provide guidance to US managers on setting performance goals and conducting
      evaluations.
    • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee
      performance and development.
    • Work with the Global VP People to identify opportunities for improving performance
      management practices and driving organizational effectiveness.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with US employment laws and regulations.
    • Stay informed about HR trends and legal requirements to ensure company-wide
      compliance.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of global HR policies and procedures
      to mitigate legal risks and ensure consistency across all regions.
    • Address compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Administer US employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement
      plans, and other fringe benefits.
    • Provide support to employees in understanding and enrolling in global benefits
      programs.
    • Assist in the coordination of benefits-related communications and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the Global VP People to evaluate and optimize US benefits offerings
      to meet the needs of employees.
  • Management of the US People Team:
    • Oversee the work of the US People & Operations Specialist, providing guidance,
      support, and mentorship as needed.
    • Delegate tasks and assignments effectively, ensuring that the US People & Operations
      Specialist is able to perform their duties efficiently.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to help
      the US People & Operations Specialist grow and develop in their role.
    • Collaborate with the Global VP People to structure and build the People team in the
      US.
    • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for People team members,
      ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.
    • Develop and implement onboarding processes and training programs for new HR
      team members.


Qualifications


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's
    degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience working as an HR Manager, People Operations Manager or similar role
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment and in a full remote context.
  • Experience in the medical devices industry would be a plus.
  • SHRM certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of US labor laws and regulations.
  • Broad knowledge of all HR disciplines with a demonstrated in-depth knowledge in Employee
    Relations and Talent Development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team and to build consultative, collaborative relationships
    with managers and co-workers at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Additional Information


This is a remote role, though occasional business travel may be required.
