US Gasoline Trader

Koch Minerals & Trading (KM&T) is seeking a Gasoline Proprietary Trader to join their team in Houston! As part of a global team, this role will help drive analysis and profitability predominantly in the domestic U.S. gasoline markets while working alongside other global physical and paper traders.

Our Team

With offices in Geneva, London, Singapore, Wichita, Houston and New York, this role reports to an International Gasoline Trader and will be based in Houston, TX, working across multiple time zones.

What You Will Do

• Develop and communicate regional points of view for trading strategies
• Execute gasoline trades in accordance with market trends, pricing strategies, and risk management guidelines. Trades will be in paper and physical markets, with an emphasis on allocating risk capital to proprietary strategies effectively
• Maintain and further develop our information sharing both within the gasoline team and the other energy trading teams within KM&T
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and brokers
• Identify changing market regimes and their resulting impact to global gasoline markets
• Partner with our fundamental analysts to continually evaluate supply and demand assumptions

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Professional experience as a Gasoline Trader with a proven track record in paper and physical markets
• Experience using an analytical approach to deploy risk without a physical asset
• Understanding of gasoline blend economics and ability to translate that into risk taking
• Experience partnering collaboratively to pull together analytics from all asset classes to make trading decisions

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience trading PADD 1 and Gulf Coast gasoline markets
• Experience trading proprietary positions in paper markets
• Experience building or operating a physical asset footprint
• Experience with domestic diesel and naphtha markets
