Position Summary: Manage the Data Quality Department for a world-class Customer Experience (CX) Research firm. Coordinate workloads, budgets, and people while ensuring the data BARE sends to clients is accurate, clear, and impactful.
The BARE US Data Quality Team is comprised of 5+ internal DQ team members who report directly to the Data Quality Manager (DQM). Additionally, a network of 30+ external Data Quality Members (editors) comprised of Independent Contractors.
Essential Duties:
People Management

  • Oversee the employee experience for the internal and external Data Quality team, including:
    • Assist in recruiting and interviewing potential new hires for the internal DQ team.
    • Assist in recruiting and screening candidates as external editors.
    • Onboard, Coach / Train, Motivate, and provide feedback to all DQ (internal and external)
    • Manage and communicate individual internal and external editors' schedules and workloads.
    • Organize team building activities.
    • Conduct performance management of the internal and external team.
    • Engage in regular one-on-one discussions with each editor to set expectations and give feedback.
    • Set SMART goals for internal team members.
  • Organize and lead weekly internal team calls and quarterly / bi-annual external editor calls.
  • Attend internal cross-departmental meetings:
    • Monthly Operations Team Meeting
    • Monthly Global Data Quality Team Meeting (Present US Office Updates)
    • Bi-Weekly US Office Stand Up (Town Hall Company) Meeting
    • Weekly Team Meeting with Client Services and Business Development

Managing Projects & Operations
  • Plan editing coverage workload of internal and external DQ team members.
  • Assist with budget for the US Data Quality department.
  • Supervise the quality and movement of projects, especially with regards to Turn Around Time (TAT).
  • Decrease scope for error, provide client value add, and improve average editing time through continuous feedback and training of Data Quality team.
  • Develop and implement editing processes and procedures (data checking tools and documentation).
  • Handle incoming Editor Requests and client queries.
  • Perform all standard editing and data checking duties for premium clients and for editors trained on new projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate editor feedback to various internal departments.
  • Generate and present internal KPI reports.
  • Prepare and complete monthly editor invoicing.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to understand projects and provide support/training on expectations of the editors.
  • Conduct monthly projections to allocate workload, manage coverage and anticipate needs.
  • Manage Client DQ List (live document with information regarding client names, volume, frequency, project briefings, timelines and key client specific program editing details).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Technical Qualifications:
  • College degree from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in proofreading or content editing.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in people management.
  • Proficient in the use of the American English language, including grammar, spelling, syntax, and written word.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT and Publisher).
    • Daily use with Microsoft Teams and Outlook
    • Frequent use of Excel (knowledge of creating formulas and pivot tables helpful)
    • Frequent use of PowerPoint
  • Customer Experience Research / Mystery Shop Industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with questionnaire form builds and Rulez in APOLLO©, Prism and Presto strongly desired.
