Counselors are the primary caregivers for each student while they are in the Extended Day Program & Summer Camp. The counselor is responsible for assisting, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding students throughout the rest of their day on campus. Extended Day counselors are expected to lead and encourage fun in a safe environment for students. Some essential jobs functions include:
- Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of students in their assigned groups.
- Assures students are properly supervised at all times.
- Follows safety guidelines.
- ALWAYS be a good role model to students and co-counselors in attitude and behavior.
- ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES in ALL scheduled programs, games, and activities
- Assisting students with homework
- Encouraging them to participate in scheduled activities
- Promoting a fun attitude and positive atmosphere
- Communicating well with students and peers
Qualifications:
Must be 16 years of age, Ability to interact with all age levels, Understand the physical, social, and emotional development needs of students, Ability to relate to youth in a positive and enthusiastic manner. All education levels encouraged to apply.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
