SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

As an Upholstery Apprentice within the Wood Shop Department, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing process, contributing to the creation of our high-end, bespoke products. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about woodworking, upholstery, and luxury craftsmanship and is eager to learn and grow within a unique and artistic environment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Upholstery Techniques: Learn and master the art of upholstery techniques, including fabric selection, cutting, sewing, and finishing, under the guidance of experienced artisans.
  • Material Handling: Assist in the handling and preparation of materials used in upholstery, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every step of the process.
  • Collaborative Work: Work closely with skilled craftsmen in the Wood Shop Department, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and techniques.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure that all upholstered products meet Chrome Hearts' exacting standards for craftsmanship and design.
  • Product Innovation: Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of our products by actively participating in design discussions and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Enthusiasm for woodworking, upholstery, and luxury craftsmanship.
  • Willingness to learn and a strong desire for professional growth within the field.
  • Basic understanding of upholstery techniques is a plus but not required.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged Standing: Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time during work shifts.
  • Variation in Activities: May involve some sitting and walking throughout the workday.
  • Repetitive Physical Motions: Expected to repeat various physical motions during the shift, utilizing feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Operation of Equipment: Operating a variety of equipment and hand tools in a repetitive manner, requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention.
  • Lifting: Capable of carrying and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
