JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, Keller Senior Activities Manager or The Keller Pointe Manager, or designee, provide administrative support for a variety of departmental functions, including but not limited to: assisting with developing and coordinating recreational events and programming,

Works number of hours per week required by the University of North Texas Internship Program. Hours are flexible, but must be scheduled during hours of operations based on assigned location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist with research and reports.
  2. Assist with scanning and filing of documents.
  3. Assist with coordination of reservations.
  4. Assist with marketing of events and programs.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

May attend department and/or staff meetings or other professional functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current enrollment in a University of North Texas Internship Program with a focus in Recreation Event & Sport Management, Kinesiology, or related field, preferred.
  2. Communicate effectively and courteously with the public and other employees in person, on the phone, and in writing.
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
  4. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work effectively.
  5. Advanced computer skills and related software knowledge, such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  6. Good oral and written communication skills; and the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  7. Must pass background check and drug screen.

The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, carry, and lift up to 35lbs. Work is generally performed in a climate-controlled office with limited exposure to outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
