Unreal Engine Game Art Intern - Torch Michigan

Job Description
Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Game Art students pursuing an education in Entertainment Arts, Game Art, Communication Design or Product Design, or other applicable artistic discipline supporting the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI. Candidate should be able to take direction and work independently as well as with a team. Candidate should be dependable and self-motivated, eager to overcome challenges and solve problems. Candidate must be able to work in person daily at the Torch Michigan office located in Sterling Heights, MI.
Job Requirements
- High School degree and some coursework completed toward majoring in an artistic and or technical discipline
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Experience with 3D software like Blender or a similar software package for a 3D art applicant
- Experience with Substance Painter, or Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
- Interest or experience in augmented reality and virtual reality technologies is a plus
- Traditional drawing skills is a plus
- UX and/or UI design skills is a plus
- Experience with C++, python scripting or technical art is a huge plus
- Must be a team player and know the importance of listening to others. Be a positive, active, and contributing member of the team
Requirements
- US Citizen.
- At least 18 years old.
- Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited educational institution.
- In good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0.
- Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship period.
