Unreal Engine Developer

This role presents a unique opportunity to innovate and shape the future of our company. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in creating toolkits and custom pipelines to empower multiple teams within the company, driving us to new heights. Collaborating closely with team leads, artists, and fellow developers you will design custom tools and workflows to optimize and enhance our processes, enabling others to produce high-quality renders and expanding our reach to new opportunities.

You will play a key role in building features that streamline content creation timelines for commercial websites and catalogs. We are seeking well-rounded developers who excel in adapting and implementing applications swiftly.

Responsibilities:

• Develop plugins for the Unreal Engine using C++.
• Design and build custom toolkits and pipelines.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues, offering innovative solutions to enhance performance and stability.
• Expand upon existing custom toolkits to meet evolving needs.
• Develop tools that automate business processes, increasing the efficiency of our teams.
• Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies related to Unreal Engine, integrating them into our development process.
• Add new features to and maintain existing applications and tools.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of code, workflows, and project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in the C++ programming language.
• Strong understanding of game development principles, including gameplay mechanics, AI, physics, and optimization techniques.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or Bit, for source code management.
• Experience working with multithreaded systems.
• Ability to adapt and revise code quickly to meet tight deadlines.
• Proven history of problem-solving, adaptability, and innovation in addressing creative and technical challenges.

Required Skills

At least 3+ years of experience and proficiency in:

• C++
• Blueprints
• Unreal Engine
• Visual Studio

Desired Skills (optional)

• Experience deploying and running software on Linux servers.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine Pixel Streaming for web and handheld devices.
• Experience writing in python.

Compensation: Salary of $65,000 - 75,000 per year based upon qualifications

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person (non-remote)
