At the University of Nebraska Foundation, we grow relationships and resources that enable the University of Nebraska to change lives and save lives. Additionally, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) Alumni Association, it is our goal to provide opportunities for alumni to connect with the university and fellow alumni, allowing both to prosper and grow.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to join our driven, people-centered organization while playing an integral role in helping us achieve our mission daily. You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation recently publicly announced a historic campaign to raise $3 billion from 150,000 donors to build a better future for Nebraska. This paid position offers a flexible, adjustable schedule of 15 hours per week, professional experience, learning opportunities, and a convenient work location.
Ways you'll make an impact:
  • Assist the University of Nebraska at Kearney Alumni Association and University of Nebraska Foundation team with database entry, mailings, and various administrative tasks.
  • Provide event support.
  • Create a welcoming, positive environment by greeting donors and guests, while providing back up support in our reception areas.
  • Offer your perspective as a student and help the team implement current and new ideas.

What you need:
  • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
  • Self-starter with excellent organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Excel, Word, and database experience preferred.
