Job description

University Cyber Mission Specialist
Key Role:
Work alongside colleagues, developers, engineers, operators, administrators, and the Air Force client to securely sustain, develop, implement, and deploy current and modern system capabilities to deter attacks while ensuring critical operational information flows to warfighters and decision-makers. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Implement and improve system security, shape risk mitigation efforts, and support efforts to modernize technology while developing and delivering services to government users.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with implementing cybersecurity
  • Experience with Linux or Unix-based operating systems
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a bachelor's degree in Spring/Summer 2024

Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Experience as a System Administrator
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean, or Theory of Constraints
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts and enabling tools, including Jenkins, Maven, and Ansible
  • Knowledge of configuration management and other tools, including Git, Ansible, Mercurial, Remedy, Splunk, OWASP ZAP, Sonar, ACAS, or ESS
  • Ability to oversee and optimize business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
