Unit Secretary Part Time Days

Job Description

• 3 West Medical Surgical Telemetry

• The Unit secretary performs clerical and receptionist duties for the nursing unit and coordinates patient flow under the direction of the Charge Nurse

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent is required, or higher.

• Requires successful completion of Unit Secretary training.

• Must demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, telephone, organizational and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to use specialty equipment such as fax and computers is required.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent Unit Secretary experience in specialty is preferred.

• Recent experience with outpatient log entry and entering patient charges is preferred.
