Department Specific Competencies

- Supports the annual budget for the individual unit by meeting established productivity standards through appropriate flexing when needed, maintaining staffing matrix guidelines and unit specific ratios.
- Assists in the promotion of professional growth and development by attending all mandatory courses, classes, inservices, functions as a clinical expert and resource while on the unit.
- Assists with ensuring clinical quality of care and the integration of the quality caring model in clinical services on the unit.
- Works effectively with other units, departments and physicians to support the organizational goals as evidenced by: State and Federal regulatory surveys; Accreditation and certification findings related to specific area of responsibility.
