Unit Clerk
The Unit Clerk must be a licensed GNA with experience in Long Term Care with a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, helpful, approachable, and has a passion for caring for others. The ideal candidate is able to educate their peers in live time and easy to relate to, but firm. The Unit Clerk is responsible for scheduling the transportation of residents to appointments, scheduling resident off-site appointments, filing, assisting on the floor as needed, monitoring the unit for call bell response time, general cleanliness, on the spot education of GNAs on customer service, cleanliness, and facility policy and procedures. The Unit Clerk may at times be asked to work on the floor as a caregiver. The Unit Clerk may also be asked to go out to appointments with residents who need assistance. The Unit Clerk represents the facility both in and out of the workplace.
