Candidate is a skilled heavy vehicle, diesel and mobile equipment mechanic with the ability to diagnose most problems and perform the appropriate repairs. This position routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting and working in awkward positions. You will be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dust, dirt and shop environment, as well as traffic during road calls.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment & vehicle problems to determine method and extent of repairs needed.
- Read, interpret, analyze and apply information in technical manuals, computer programs and schematics.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of on-road vehicles.
- Safely operate equipment, standard and specialty tools, welders, hoists and other lifting devices, etc. on a daily basis.
- Maintain work area and shop in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
The willing and available to work overtime, Saturdays and SUNDAYS as needed.
Potentially be on call, for night and out of town work.
