Underwriter - Mca

We are a rapidly growing Fintech company (Alternative Funding). We are seeking candidates with a background in Accounting or Finance and experience in the Merchant Cash Advance Space. This opportunity gives the right candidate the chance to grow with a fast expanding Fintech company.

Responsibilities

• Work with Portfolio Managers in structuring, analyzing and closing funding transactions
• Determine client's ability to repay funding based on financial statements, bank statements, tax returns and other financial data
• Perform analysis and financial statement analysis on co-owners, guarantors, and individuals to determine asset coverage for requested funding amounts
• Responsible for entire underwriting process from inception to funding
• Liaise with account managers, ISOs, senior management and risk department on individual companies and overall portfolio composition

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or similar
• Required: 1+ years experience in a Merchant Cash Advance space underwriting small businesses
• Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze company financial statements, industry and seasonal cashfprojections
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Experian Credit Reporting, Decision Logic and various CRM
• Team player with ability to take initiative
• Detailed oriented, able to work under pressure and multi-task within time constraints
• Autonomous and independent thinker, willing to learn and constantly improve the process
