Equipment Operator Job Summary
Equipment Operators operate construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors. Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches.
Equipment Operator Responsibilities
- Inspect large equipment before and after use to ensure they are working properly
- Load and unload cargo and move them to the appropriate storage area
- Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
- Report needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties
Equipment Operators Requirements
- Class A CDL license is NOT required, but preferred.
- Knowledge of transmission and operation of telecommunications systems.
- Ability to work overtime, depending on project goals.
- Prefer 1-2 years in utility construction industry operating equipment utilized in overhead and underground construction with experience operating backhoes, excavators, skid steers.
- Safety certifications are a plus; some safety certification training provided.

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $32.00/Hr. - USD $38.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
