Underground Construction Directional Drill Bore Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a constant focus on operating in a safe working environment
• Operate Directional Drilling equipment in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
• Installing 500 to 1,000 feet of conduit in a typical workday
• Responsible for assisting in potholing, remediation, setting hand holes
• Access construction points as required
• Read and interpret engineering plans
• Keep a detailed record of work activity
• All applicants must follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times

Qualifications

• Operate construction equipment and machinery
• More than 1 year experience operating a Directional Drill
• Knowledge of utility depths and placements; general knowledge of construction practices
• Able to read blueprints/underground utility plans and interpret work assignments
• Experience with Ditch Witch Sub-Site Tracker, Vermeer F2 or equal trackers
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to carry 75-80 lbs., to include an extension ladder.
• Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout the work shift
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• CDL is a plus
• Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
