Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Position: Student EmployeePeer Writing Tutor
Department: Academic Support Center
Classification: Part-time, Non-benefit eligible
Duties: Work one-on-one with students to support them in the writing process at any stage.
Students will be tutoring WRIT 1101/1104: Writing Colloquium, WRIT 1102: Research Writing, and
written assignments for all other courses.
Required Qualifications:

• Must be a currently enrolled Benedictinestudent in good standing.
• You must have completed courses for which you will be tutoring with a minimum grade of a B.
• A professor recommendation for one of the courses for which you will tutor is required.
• You must provide a sample of academic writing (a research paper from a previous class will do)
• You must provide a current resume.
• You must be able to work 2 - 4 hours per week. Possible times are Monday - Thursday, 1:00 - 7:00 PM
• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk;use hands to touch, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  This positionrequires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to20 pounds.
  Use of computerscreen, phone and customer service.
  May require bending,or sitting for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by thisjob include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  The following ofcampus specific guidelines for pandemic protocols is required.
• Training: As a Universityemployee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHArelated training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will beconducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings requiredby Benedictine University.
