2024 Undergraduate Summer Intern - Job Posting
Department Title:Undergrad Intern - Franklin Templeton US Client Marketing
Location: This position can be based in any of the following Franklin Templeton offices: New York City, Boston, St. Petersburg or remote. Please note this internship will be on a hybrid basis, with 2 days a week in the office.
Position Summary:
Department Overview:
  • We are a client facing group who partners closely with field sales, national account sales, and sales leadership. Our team spans across most US distribution channels including Retirement (DC), Insurance, 529, RBI, Wires, and Private Wealth.
  • Although our team is spread across among many offices (San Mateo, Rancho, St Pete, Baltimore, NYC, Stamford), we meet often and speak throughout the day via Teams amongst our group and are also involved in many other team meetings including US marketing led meetings and US sales led meetings.

Key Responsibilities can Include:
  • Firm approval process focus:
    • Help to setup our bulk submission spreadsheets that would allow us to bulk submit commentaries, pitchbooks, product profiles etc.
    • Help manage the process of submissions/approvals for the updated (new template) FT commentaries
    • Help establish a process around 4U contact information for sales
    • Help get the RBI firm expirations backlog up to date
  • Product Availability Guides:
    • Help automate availability guides with MOT, leveraging new product availability now available in MSD
    • Opportunity to audit retail guides to ensure we are incorporating all channels (DC, 529)
    • Will need help managing and proofing all guides to make sure the automation works properly
  • Other important projects:
    • Help analyze WHLW data - determine what gets the most engagement and what doesn't (with a specific focus on how partner-specific content is performing) so we can better streamline
    • Competitive analysis on products, value add programs, and websites
    • Creation of participant education content
    • Consolidation of OFT libraries
    • Audit of sales intro emails
    • Create a shareable calendar for our sales partners to access - would entail working across the team and considering how best to aggregate planned deliverables
  • Interns could play a key role in addressing administrative tasks (submitting email briefs, compliance routing, etc.) while gaining some great exposure to Client Marketing

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 38 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $24 to $31 USD per hour, depending on location, and year in school. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
