Position Title: Security Officer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Surveillance and Monitoring:
   - Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure a visible security presence.
   - Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security issues promptly.

2. Access Control:
   - Verify and authorize entrance of individuals and vehicles.
   - Issue visitor passes and maintain a log of all incoming and outgoing personnel.

3. Incident Response:
   - Respond to alarms and emergency situations quickly and effectively.
   - Investigate and report any suspicious activities, disturbances, or security breaches.

4. Communication:
   - Maintain clear and concise communication with fellow Security Officers and relevant personnel.
   - Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as required.

5. Report Writing:
   - Document incidents and activities in detailed and accurate written reports.
   - Complete daily activity logs and shift reports.

6. Customer Service:
   - Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.
   - Assist with inquiries and direct individuals to the appropriate contacts.

7. Emergency Preparedness:
   - Participate in emergency drills and training exercises.
   - Follow established procedures for fire, medical, and other emergencies.

Job Duties:

1. Physical Security:
   - Ensure the integrity of physical barriers, such as fences and gates.
   - Perform routine checks on security equipment and report malfunctions.

2. Risk Assessment:
   - Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
   - Implement preventive measures to minimize security threats.

3. Team Collaboration:
   - Collaborate with other security personnel to maintain a cohesive security strategy.
   - Provide assistance and support to colleagues as needed.

4. Technology Utilization:
   - Operate and monitor security-related technology, including CCTV systems and access control systems.
   - Stay updated on the latest advancements in security technology.

Job Requirements:

1. Education and Training:
   - High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security procedures is a plus.

2. Experience:
   - Must have military/law enforcement experience 3+ years or 5+ years as unarmed/armed Security Officer experience 

3. Certifications:
   - Possession of relevant security certifications would be great, but NOT required (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Security Guard License) is advantageous.

4. Physical Fitness:
   - Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
   - Physical fitness to respond effectively to emergencies.

5. Communication Skills:
   - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
   - Ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.

6. Observation Skills:
   - Strong attention to detail and keen observational skills.

7. Problem-Solving:
   - Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions.
   - Problem-solving skills to address security challenges effectively.

8. Team Player:
   - Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow established protocols.

9. Flexibility:
   - Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

10. Integrity:
    - High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
