We are looking for an experienced Full TimeUltrasound Technologist for our Bedford Park Location (Hours vary). As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will administer the sonography exam and will take part in assisting patients with their preparation, questions and concerns.
You will be expected to:
- Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examination
- Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures/equipment and answering questions/concerns
- Maintain quality of ultrasound equipment by following company standards and procedures
- Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
- Responsibly ensure that the patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
- Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
- Document the patient’s ultrasound services by accurately recording the data in the patient’s chart
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure excellent patient care is being provided
- Communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to the appropriate physician.
- Perform all other duties as assigned

- Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary
- Strong communication skills that allow you to communicate sonographic information to staff and attending physicians
- ARDMS and/or RVT registered or registry eligible with prior clinical ultrasound experience
- Must be experienced in General/Small parts, OB/Gyne, Vascular.
- Experience in Breast imaging is a plus, but not required
