Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for infection control and aseptic technique
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasonographer
- Proficient in performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, musculoskeletal, and breast imaging
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as an emergency room (ER) or critical care setting
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with other medical imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT scan, and PET scan is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent technical skills in operating ultrasound equipment and obtaining high-quality images
- Strong understanding of medical imaging principles and techniques
- Ability to accurately interpret ultrasound images and identify abnormalities or pathologies
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and image storage
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and explain procedures to patients
