Ultrasound Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ultrasound Technician performs ultrasounds and prepares patients, room, and equipment for general imaging. Operates ultrasound equipment. Travel between clinic sites is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technician program. A minimum of 2 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is required. ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN. Current CPR certification is required. Bilingual candidate preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Performs ultrasounds by accepted protocols as directed by a physician
• Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum results
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment
• Maintain ultrasound equipment in appropriate operating condition
• Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Order and stock all ultrasound supplies
• Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files as directed
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Work as a team member within the radiology department and all other departments
