- The Ultrasound Supervisor oversees day to day operations of ultrasound department in Imaging including patient flow and quality assurance. This role is responsible for monitoring exams and/or CR images, assuring high quality following established departmental and QA protocols using independent judgment and initiative. This position provides input back and data relative to staff regarding individual exam and/or image for QA purposes. The Supervisor performs sonography which meet the department’s standard of quality as required. The successful candidate is capable of organizing work priorities and adjusting as circumstances requires. This position demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary of assigned modality to provide exams or imaging services to the developmental ages of patients from newborn to adult. They possess the ability to assess and interpret appropriate data relative to age and to provide care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring/firing, scheduling, performance evaluations, quality reviews, timecard reconciliations, staff education, coaching, development, support and promotion of customer relations, and monitoring of activities to ensure performance standards are achieved.

Education Minimum Required- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound training program

Training Minimum Required- Ability to perform general ultrasound examinations in compliance with protocols and standards identified in "Essentials and Standards" per ACR, ICAEL and ICAVL.

Special Skills Minimum Required- Supervises daily operations of US workflow. Works alongside sonographers administering patient care and serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to students and staff as well as assists management with educational & supervisory responsibilities. Technical skills: QC Participant, Preceptor, Basic Word, Excel,
- Computer manipulation, verbal and written communication skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to work in a collaborative manner, ability to make effective judgements and decisions based on objective criteria.
- Ability to recognize abnormalities, understand all techniques and their diagnostic value for the evaluation of patient anatomy, function and hemodynamics.

- ARDMS certification in multiple modalities
Licensure and/or Certifications Required- NH Medical Imaging sonography license
