Summary
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), registered in OB/GYN, performs diagnostic and special procedure ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in MFM/OB-GYN./Fertility. Experience with ultrasound reporting software and electronic medical records (EMR). Thorough knowledge and understanding of Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound practices and procedures required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, take initiative and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Education: High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required. Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program and ARDMS certified in OB/GYN. CEU documentation required for certification must be provided. Some infertility related treatment experience needed. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
