Duties
-The applicant will be required to travel for the day, once or twice a week to St. Croix, U.S.V.I to perform the duties detailed below......
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs, tissues, or blood flow patterns.
- Analyze images for quality and interpret findings to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate course of action based on ultrasound results.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of documentation.
```Qualifications```
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
- Proficient in performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal scans.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Experience working in an emergency room or fast-paced medical environment is preferred.
