Ui/Ux Lead Developer

The "Winning with Data" (WWD) capability in AbbVie's International Commercial Business is driving the transformation of the organization into a data driven decision-making organization and is seeking an experienced and talented UI/UX Lead Developer to join our team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for building web applications and will play a pivotal role in shaping our insight delivery strategy while mentoring a team of developers. 

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, to understand project goals and user requirements.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on designs.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.
• Construct web applications that support insight delivery and business processes.
• Stay current with industry trends, design tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into the design process.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of designs while maintaining design integrity.
• Advocate for a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle.

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role: 

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree 7 years of experience, Master's Degree 6 years of experience, PhD 2 years of experience in application program development.
• 6 years of experience as a UI/UX Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate user needs into compelling design solutions.
• Expertise with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end development.
• Proficient with leading JavaScript libraries and frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, etc.
• Experience working with high performance resilient systems.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Great problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative ideas and solutions.

Beneficial:

• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, such as data privacy laws, is highly desirable.
