SUMMARY
The UAS andGimbal Payload Field Service Technical Specialist supports all UAS and Gimbal Payload systems produced by Edge Autonomy. This position is responsible for both virtual and on-site customer Technical Support. They work closely with customers providing technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues in the field. Position requires frequent travel and a flexible schedule. Candidate must be able to obtain valid US passport.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Virtual and On-site customer support of UAS and Gimbal payload camera products
- Work closely with product leads, engineering team, and quality organization
- Provide virtual and on-site Technical Support on issues related to customer training technical configurations
- Provide detailed feedback to customer and internal company stakeholders
- Respond rapidly to customer issues and ensure that clear progress updates are provided to the customers
- Provide virtual and on-site in depth troubleshooting and diagnosis of technical problems with customer equipment
- Advise customers on proper employment of Gimbal Payloads and UAS
- Prepare and oversee reports, statistics, and systematic trends to assist the engineering team in product improvements
- Remain proficient in all company products
- Work under limited supervision on moderately difficult and complex assignments
- Suggest minor changes in processes or product features to solve problems or improve customer experience
- Remain available and responsive to customer needs during and after work hours
- Spend up to 50% of time traveling CONUS and OCUNUS if needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:
- Formal education in UAS operations, electronic systems, optics, or related fields
- 4 years of experience operating and maintaining UAS and payload systems
- In depth experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience operating Uncrewed Aircraft Systems and sensors
- Experience in aerospace and defense, particularly with uncrewed aircraft and/ or airborne camera systems
- Experience with electro-optical remote sensing systems, camera stabilization, visible and infrared camera operation
- Experience with manned and uncrewed aircraft payload integration, motion control, and vibration mitigation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
