Job Title: Warehouse Lead

Summary of the Position:The receiving lead performs general warehouse and dock operations. Acts as a back up to the warehouse supervisor and to the shipping/receiving clerk as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Oversees dock operations ensuring safety, productivity, etc. Audits the shadows boards on the dock, coolers and warehouse and replaces utensils as needed. Reviews daily forklift checklist and communicates deficiencies. Audits and completes a weekly safety checklist. (25%)
- Picks orders or delivery tickets for shipment. Loads and unloads trucks. Puts product away using the RF scanning system. Ensures daily work is performed on time and accurate to avoid overtime and detention charges. Audits both inbound and outbound shipments and documents discrepancies. (25%)
- Overlooks documentation to ensure it complies with procedure and proper document control. Ensures proper procedures are followed. (10%)
- Runs location reports and checks for item, quantity, location accuracy and makes changes if required. (10%)
- Communicates as needed via verbal, phone, and email. Communicates all workload aspects to the distribution manager. (10%)
- Trains new warehouse employees. (5%)
- Participates in continuous improvement projects and monitors the docks, warehouses and coolers.(5%)
- Ensures proper LOT rotation and allergen control, including following FEFO (first expired - first out), FIFE (First in-First expired), FIFO (First in-First out) and organic product receiving and handling. (10%)
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:- Two plus years of forklift and warehouse experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Food operations experience preferred.
- Material handling equipment certification
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF Eagle scanning system.
- Problem solving, team building, project execution and ability to multi-task.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
