TX - Metal Gasket Fabricator

Uses various machines to fabricate custom Metal Gaskets. Maintains inventory usage and monitors inventory levels on raw materials. Works under moderate to little supervision. Will assist a various departments depending on work load.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in counting inventory for cycle counts and maintain stock (i.e., tag, stack, sort, keep organized). Clean equipment and all shop areas
• Participate in lean activity and safety regulations
• Regularly make suggestions for improvement and work on continuous improvement projects for lean, quality and safety
• Perform any and all duties of a level 1 helper
• Independently use and operate machines and or tools to fabricate hoses and gaskets, minor machining for mechanical seals or cylinder repair, read production orders
• Maintain equipment, preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Assist in repair of simple to complicated hydraulic components, use micrometer and scale
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school or equivalent (GED) required
• 3 year of industrial shop experience required, 5 years of related experience and/or training preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Must be able to use a tape measure and understand basic math

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Lift up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Stand for an extended period
• Working conditions are in a non-climate controlled environment
