Turf Mowing - Residential Landscape

JOB DESCRIPTION: Residential Turf / Mowing

McCullough’s Landscape & Nursery is hiring full time residential turf team members focused on preforming high-end residential turf care. Team members will work with an integrated greater team of horticulturists, designers, plant health care, turf care, irrigation and arborists ensuring the entire property is maintained with a holistic collaboration.

Responsibilities:

· Weekly mowing of a dedicated roster of residential clients – services include mowing, maintaining bed edges and clearing off the site.

· Equipment used includes Exmark (30-66 inch) with stripping kits, and Stihl for small engines.

· Quality of work compared to quantity of properties serviced is the expectation.

· Managing mow heights and cut directions from week to week to ensure the overall health of the turf.

· Communicating with Turf Healthcare and Irrigation management to ensure continued turf health throughout the season.

· Work with a core team of 2 members for a dedicated client roster, but will join with other turf teams for larger properties.

· Training will focus on both proper horticultural skills/best practices in addition to how to provide valuable customer service.

· Responsibilities DO NOT INCLUDE applying fertilizers/pesticides or sales of services.

Qualifications:

• Recommended two years’ experience in turf care.
• We provide on the job training and education to expose to different tasks and jobs. Previous experience is reflected in starting pay, but continued growth in skills is also reflected over tenure.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Team focus and desire to thrive a positive company culture.
• Enjoy the physically of working outdoors

Requirements

• 18 years of Age
• Experienced Drivers with a Valid Driver’s License having an acceptable driving record per our company guidelines and insurable by our company insurance.
• Strong communication skills both documenting work and communication with co-workers/clients.
• This position is in the field year-round, so ability to work in varied weather conditions is required.

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
